Client's Feedback

The followings are quite a few feedbacks of some; however, we cannot put hundreds of them on this page

Dear Negussie

Greetings from a cold and wet UK.

I did say that I would send you some images and a comment about the trip:

"Negussie ran a first-rate bird-watching tour and we could not have asked for more. Our group had bird-watched in Africa before and so had slightly different expectations than the normal tour group; our requirements were catered for precisely. He showed flexibility and accommodated our every request. His excellent bird-watching knowledge and travel experience was such that it made our trip run as smooth as silk. I would recommend him to any birder going to Ethiopia – just ask for the trip we did!"

As I am sure you picked up, we had a great time thanks to your efforts running the trip.
I have already suggested a similar trip for some other birding friends and I will be doing talks in the future where I shall suggest your company to them also.

I wish you well in the future.

Cheers Jeff

Dear Negussie

A big 'Thank You' for all your efforts. The trip was very well organized and efficient and I am very impressed with your birding knowledge and organization. I have a lot to do preparing for my next three trips but will be back in touch in a few weeks about next year's trip which I hope to run on about the same dates.

I think we might just need to tweak the trip at the end ...possibly missing out Wondo Genet? I would also like a different hotel than Ghion. The food and the service was the worst of the trip.

All the customers thoroughly enjoyed it and I am sure we can run it full next year though I think three vehicles is enough. Any chance of long wheel base Land Cruisers so we can get ten or more people in?

The Hyena cave was great and would definitely include that again. I might try and get everybody on the late night flight so we can include Debre Libanos in the itinerary too.

Kind Regards

Andy

Dear Negussie,

Warmest greetings from a very cold and grey England. We hope you have had a
peaceful time over the Christmas period. We want to thank you for the
marvelous time we had with you - it was absolutely superb. The range of
hotel experiences was very interesting for us - the small Pension in Lemi in
which we stayed for that first night was certainly a test for us, but after
that things got steadily better. I attach some pictures, which have been
reduced in size for emailing. If you would like any of them as high
resolution pictures I will be very happy to put them on a CD and post them
to you.

I would also be very glad if you would send us the contact details for the
Minister of Tourism so we can write about the Ghion hotel.

I have had a look at your website and I hope you will not mind if I make a few
comments and suggestions. First is the name - because it only appears on
the 4th page of a Google search for birding Ethiopia. Second, your name
does not appear on the site. I think you should put in a paragraph about
yourself together with a picture - for example one I have sent you - as an
expert bird guide who has been a tour leader for some of the big companies.
You could emphasise the fact that there are very few professional bird
guides in Ethiopia and you are one of the best. I wonder why the website is
so small - it only occupies half the screen and it would have room for more
pictures. I have included a few birds which you could add to your picture
gallery. The map of Ethiopia is so small it is useless - can your website
designer arrange that when you put the cursor on the map it enlarges? There
are quite a few inconsistencies in spelling - for example Gefersa, Gefferssa
and efersa!! Bishagari is missing an N. These are small things that
reflect professionalism.

I do hope you don't mind these observations - it is only meant to be
helpfully constructive.

We do hope we will see you again - if you come to the UK to the bird fair
please contact us - home telephone is +44-1794-342160 from outside UK or
01794-342160 from inside UK.

Dear Negussie,

A quick message to thank you again for a most enjoyable birding trip in Ethiopia last month.
I have now prepared a species list, which I attach with this e-mail, which may be of interest. If you spot any omissions, please let me know.
The list was produced with Wildlife Recorder software designed by Wildlife Computing Ltd of the UK. This is the first time I have used this programme and it is very flexible. I entered the data as six separate trips (distinguished by date and location) and it produced the list by aggregating over all the trips. I exported the file to Excel to send to you.

A new version of this software has just become available. For more information, see http://www.wildlife.co.uk

Thanks and best wishes

Chris Scott

Morning Trevor

Just to let you know that we got back home last Friday after our trip to Ethiopia.

Merv and I had a wonderful time – it is truly a fascinating country, with stunning scenery and friendly people. We saw over 400 species of bird, including 50 raptors – absolutely fantastic. Merv is still checking his list, and once the list is accurate, I’ll email you a copy. We also saw several mammals, including the Ethiopian Wolf, African Civet and a Spotted Hyaena – again, I will be doing a list of these.

The drivers were superb – often driving long distances along bumpy and dusty roads; and of course, several stops along the way to see the birds!

As for our bird guide, I cannot praise Negussie enough. He worked hard and tirelessly to make sure we saw as many birds as possible, and knew his bird species inside out. He was patient with me, as I am not the best spotter, and I really appreciated his efforts. He was super company as well, and we enjoyed spending time with him both in the field and in a social setting. He remained calm and professional throughout the trip, in several trying circumstances.

In conclusion, we really enjoyed Ethiopia and would recommend it to anyone who wants something a bit different and who is prepared to ‘go with the flow’ – we would have no hesitation in returning. It is not for anyone expecting 4* luxury or ‘the things we have at home’ – thank goodness.

Dear Thorwald

It was great meeting you the other day and I hope the rest of your training
of inspectors went well.

As promised, please find the contact details for the very good birding guide
who took me bird watching for 2 days recently. I can highly recommend him as
been highly competent and professional. So please pass this on to your friend
in the Netherlands who wants to come to Ethiopia birding. He will have to
check with Negussie…
